12/29/07 DRS 2006 Internet Broadcaster
Here
is the newest DRS 2006 Internet Broadcaster. Newest Encoder, newest stats relay
engine and Windows Vista compatible.
12/29/07 Registry Patch
This
new patch will be needed for Windows Vista. If you have installed V2.2
(see Radio Forum) then you do not need this.
02/01/07 Audio Manager VISBE 1 All Packages
Here
we go. Final round. The newest Audio Manager now has the Version VISBE 1 which
means as much as Vista Beta. It is of course ready, but we now built in the Windows
Media Player 7-10 interface with all the advantages like digital rights management
and
also DSP plugins (like DFX or iZotope - www.wmpplugins.com). Also db-audioware
is working on a new version of the Broadcast Processor which will be compatible. The
current version will not work! This new Audio Manager works as you may have guessed
with Windows Vista and all other Windows versions. BUT: We do not
really
recommend to switch to Vista this early because many drivers are not working
100% at the
moment. We have tested this one with a beta sound card driver from creative and
it is working ok, altough our XP PCs are still working much better with the good
old drivers. So please give the developers some time to update all drivers
before
you risk to broadcast with Windows Vista.
So what
we will do now is to quickly do this change in all current modules.
We will then already build full setup files for the new versions,
so there is no need to convert your databases if you do not want
to. Then we will finalize the STD Package 3.0 which will also not
take too long anymore since there is not much missing. We will then
finalize the new PRO Package. Finally we will design the last modules
of the Enterprise. We know you are all waiting for this version.

10/05/06 Audio Manager Final 3.04 All Packages
Yes,
another Audio Manager. Just a quick update. Lately we read in the forum about
your
problem
with
the
Mouse
Wheel (thx). We decided that it would really make sense to fix this in all
DRS
2006 modules.
So
this one now has the mouse wheel and mouse wheel buttons working correctly. Also
there
are a few minor changes. We will put the mouse wheel behaviour in all modules.
This
won't take long so we can get to the modules you are waiting for....We know,
we know. But like promised were are working on this frequently...More betas coming.

2006 On Air Analyzer 3.0 RC 2
As
promised here is the On Air Analyzer RC2. It also now has the "pack" function
when deleting items and also the advanced export functions which
we also built into the Radio Streamer Manager. Now we will go
to the stadium and watch Werder Bremen - CF Barcelona ;-) to see
if Ronaldinho is able to make a goal against us. Tomorrow I will
have
to work shortly on the registration codes. We need a new system and
also a way to give out 30 day trials of all versions. Then we want
to make the search and replace functions a little better. However
this wont take long. So lets go....more coming up.
09/26/06 DRS 2006 Radio Streamer Manager 3.00 RC 1 All Packages
Here
is the Release Candidate 1 of the Radio Streamer Manager. We have integrated
the new special Radio Streamer pricing for DRS 2006 clients and also have built
in
a "Database Pack" function when deleting datasets out of the log.
Additionally we have worked on the export function. It now exports the filtered
datasets and
lets you chose between 3 formats. dbf, txt and html. Dbf and txt can easily
be imported into Excel etc. Same function will be now transfered to the Final
On
Air Analyzer. More coming....
04/13/06 Webcasting Kit Final 3.01
We
have experimented a little with the upload feature of the webcasting kit and
have made a few adjustments which should solve the "losing connection" problem.

09/03/06 Audio Manager Final 3.03 ALL Packages
Another
addition we built in because we had many requests for this. When you insert new
files you now have the option to show the filenames without the full directory.
We also built in a few smaller optimizations. Soon we will have the new Internet
Broadcaster with AAC+ for you. Also many more updates coming...So back to work....Let's
get done with it....
18/01/06 Audio Manager Final 3.02 ALL Packages
Yes,
we know, we know ;-) You are waiting for new modules. We will have more and
more coming up soon. Here is a first one. The Audio Manager with
a ton of code optimizations
and enhancements.
These tweaks are basically in the "Utilities" section and in the "Insert New
Items" section. There will be more coming up. Of course also Scheduler
and On Air Radio Studio. We just released this first because it passed all
our test
first. Happy Audio Managing ;-) And thx for your patience.
11/08/05 Audio Manager Final 3.01 ALL
Packages
Again
we have found a not so small bug in the Audio Manager. The Cue Ins were a little
stuttering especially when using the Broadcast Processor. We have removed that
and also changed the "Delete" key to "Shift+Delete". We
are heavily working on the Scheduler. Next week we will be on a short trip
to Oslo in Norway but right
after that we will be back to the Scheduler and push as hard as we can to get
out new Betas. Have fun!
09/22/05 Audio Manager Final the 2nd ALL Packages
Astonishing.
A bug we carried through all Betas up to the final. A volume problem when NOT
using the Broadcast Processor. We finally found it and fixed it. Here ya go.

Small
addition. We added new functions in the "Search and Replace". Before
you use please apply the patch (read below).
09/09/05 Database Patch 1.0 All Packages READ
CAREFULLY!
We
decided to make a small adjustment in the 3.0 database. We expanded the FILE
field from 140 to 200. We found out that this is necessary for our NEW and WAY
COOL Audio Manager RC 2.4. The Database Patch is used to restructure your existing
3.0 Database and expand the fields. This Patch is not needed if you convert your
database with the new Database Converter 2.5 or higher. Its only needed if you
already have a 3.0 Database! Instructions are directly in the software.

Database Converter 2.5
Like
mentioned above in the Database Patch section, we also adjusted the Converter
to expand the FILE fields when converting. If you already have a V3 database,
please
use the Database Patch. You do not need to convert again.
09/09/05 Audio Manager RC 2.4 ALL Packages HOT!
ATTENTION:You
either need to patch your existing V3 database with the Database Patch, or you
convert your 2.11 database with the new converter!
Hard working week! We
have added some cool new things. Basically your requests! The "Insert
New Itmes" is now able to scan all subdirectories. There is
a new Checkbox "Include
Subdirectories". We have tested this with more than 10.000 titles in a
single scratch. Also the allowed file length is now 200 characters (after patch).
This
should make it possible to read in anything with a single click. However be
careful so you do not insert too much junk which may be in some directories
on your hard
disc. We also enabled the "ENTER" in the Search Engine. The other
many small fixes should make this module come very close to the final version.
We will
wait
for your
responses
and then
make
it
final.

09/09/05 On Air DJ Studio Final ALL Packages
The
small requested change. The "ENTER" in the search engine. The problem is here
that the "ENTER" starts the next cart. Altough "Ctrl+ENTER" also starts the next
cart (which is used in Remote Control) we did not want to give up the "ENTER".
So we take the "ENTER" as a search request only when the focus is in the
Text
Search Edit area. After pressing Enter now the focus will move to the Database
display. So everything will be back to normal "ENTER" function.

08/30/05 DRS 2006 Radio Streamer Manager Beta 4 All Packages
The
promised Radio Streamer Manager with all functions. We also removed a few bugs
in this one. This module will help you to see your listener stats and also the
behaviour. With the logs made, you will be able to see which titles your listeners
like and which ones they don't like. Of course you can also manage your Radio
Streamer accounts and use the special rates order form. Build up the perfect
radio
station
and recact
on the listeners. Total control by DRS 2006! We will now build the promised Podcaster.

08/26/05 DRS 2006 Radio Streamer Manager Beta 3 All Packages
As
we promised we wanted to release this Beta before the weekend. However
the "Setup
Log" functions are missing. We will need a few hours to finish this
and it will
be first thing to finish on monday morning. However we now have the Radio
Streamer Manager logging the info. You can filter and print everything.
New table needs
to be created with the Database Converter, if you have not already done
this. Sorry again for all the delays. More
updates
coming!

We are sorry for the delay. We know we say that too often and we are about to
change that.
We
had
a
few
discussions
with
the licensing organizations regarding the logs for stations. This new converter
now also generates
a
new database
table which will be needed for the Radio Streamer Manager Log that will come
up
soon. By the way, new voiceovers of Jennifer Steele coming in the
VO
section
as well. She also offers a news feed for the Syndication Manager. Welcome
aboard, Jen!

01/12/05 DRS 2006 Radio Streamer Manager Beta 1 All Packages
This
is the new Radio Streamer Manager. It has the same functions as the
Light version for the Radio Streamer clients, but also has the possibiliy
to manage your
Radio Streamer account directly in the software. You can
also
order your account for
special
DRS 2006 Software client rates which are exclusively available in
this software module.
Additionally
you
can
use
the
Radio
Streamer
Interface
Section
to change passwords, stream titles, backup files, intro files and
much more. Also our support team can be reached by a single mouse click.
At the moment
you will
find 3 buttons named "Coming Up". We are adding their functions
(Logging Listener Stats) at the moment but we are getting so many
emails concerning
this module,
that
we thought
to release the first beta now. We are working hard to get the complete
Package ready.
And
we are getting much closer .....;-) Much more coming up shortly.

Here
is the Final Administration Kit. It also includes the Radio Streamer Manager
instead of the Remote Control now. Also a few minor fixes.

This
update now includes the Radio Streamer Manager instead of the Remote
Control (see lower). It will already work with the current Radio Manager
file, but we will release a special version for DRS 2006 software clients
very
soon.

New Module: Radio Streamer Manager
We
have decided to drop the "Remote Control" module
of the ENT Package at the moment. We have done this to
save time and to
be able
to release sooner. We will however add this module in the
next version. There are also several other reasons to drop
this
module at the moment.
If this feature is desperately needed, we can give you
many hints for a workaround which is pretty practical.
Instead of this module, we will add a Radio Streamer Manager to all Packages.
It will be like the one we already offer, but will also include free test streaming
accounts for DRS 2006 clients. Also special pricing/ordering options for clients. On
01/01/2005 we will have new streaming pricing and additionally we will
have client discounts
of approx 15%. The client accounts can directly be managed with this
new module. All support will be back with our DRS 2006 staff to prevent
any problems. Will be ready pretty soon ;-)

DRS 2006 Webcasting Kit RC 2
We
are heading for the last part of this long development.
This new RC 2 has the new icons and also saves the screen
positions. But the main
new thing is that we have built in a completly new ftp
upload engine (THX for the tips, Dave) which is also
threaded. We have done this
to avoid skipping in your streams. Please test this and
tell us if this is working now 100%. THX guys!

2006 Internet Radio Broadcaster 2.5.2 Beta
This
has been corrected in version 2.5.2:
1) Increasingly larger skips & blips on MP3 streams
2) The core cause will eventually use up all available memory and is likely to
crash the machine after many days of running fine.
This bug ONLY applied to MP3 streams where scripting is enabled. If scripting
is disabled, all should work fine. Please report any problem to Spacialaudio.com.

DRS 2006 Audio Manager RC 2.2
Like
promised now also the "old" keyboard short cuts (will
be displayed as hint when mouse is over button) and also no
more CDs.
Instead our
speaker logo. All other modules will follow now with these
changes (speaker logo,
window position save etc). We thank you for all your comments
in the forum. Please keep
your ideas in mind for all modules which have RC status. We
are not going to build in more features in those modules for
version
3.0 or
we will
never get
ready. However we will open up an Interactive Development 3.1
right when we release 3.0. Of course please keep posting bugs
or any
other problem
so we can tie up
this package as soon as possible. THX guys, keep on rockin'

the ntdll.dll bug which came up on Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 and 98. We also
removed the spinning CDs. You were right, they may be a little antiquated ;-)

DRS 2006 Audio Manager RC 2.0
We
are sorry if we confuse you now, but we have renamed the Audio Manager Final
to RC 2.0 because we added quite a few functions:
- New ID3v2/v1 Tag reader when inserting new mp3 files
- New ID3v2/v1 Tag Editor
- Removed bug (crash) when inserting non-mp3 files
- Saves/Restores module position
- Improved Artist/Title scan from filename
- Auto scans Artist/Title from filename when inserting non-mp3
files
Please report any bug as quick as possible, because we want to finalize this
module now so we can complete the package a.s.a.p. THX ;-)

We corrected a small bug. The AM still was checking if the Windows Media
Player 9 was installed. Of course we need a 6.4 check. Here ya go. Thank

DRS 2006 Audio Manager all versions 3.0 RC 2.25
Here
is the Audio Manager with less resources, more
speed and which is not
that picky with the the mp3 tags. Of course it
also has the Auto Cues and a working Broadcast
Processor. Just one thing: The Auto Cue In function
does not mind if you are using the Broadcast Processot
or not. This
function will disable the plugin during the check,
because its not needed. When using the Auto Cue
Out, the Broadcast Processor will be available.
The function will of course produce different results
depending whether
you are using the it or not. So if you want to
use it later on air, then we highly recommend to
also use it in the Audio Manager. Happy
