The DRS 2006 Database Transaction Manager (DTM) (06/15/2002)

What is it and how does it work?
This small yet powerful tool, will allow DRS 2006 to run smoothly on a variety of PC's by removing the load from the processor, network traffic and executing commands you give it. It will always perform this function locally; therefore, the DTM always has to be installed on the PC containing the database.

Installed automatically with Enterprise it has two settings enabling it to work with your processor speed and network traffic.

Whenever you freshly start a module with DTM enabled the DTM will automatically start, it will remain in the taskbar until you wish to shut it down. The DTM must be enabled if you are constantly on air. The modules cannot function without the DTM.

Low Priority:
This setting is accessed (Right click) from the taskbar Icon (Displayed as the DRS mic when inactive / lightning bolt when processing.) When set low it will allow the On Air modules to work at fading etc, freeing up system resources. This is designed for lower MHZ processors.

You will notice a small delay before the DTM chooses the next song; this is to allow higher priority functions to finish. It is recommended that if you have trouble with system resources that you choose this setting.

High Priority:
This is the default setting for the DTM, and will function flawlessly on most PC's. This setting utilizes the DTM to its full capacity. Choose this setting if you do not have trouble with system resources. The DTM will function lightning fast at this setting.
