DRS 2006 Installation Instructions (12/16/2003)

Extracting The Betas
There is no set way of installing all the betas, (You must extract the betas in your default DRS2006 folder) however we would advise when it comes to the DRS2006BETA (3.0 Launcher) that when extracting to C:\DRS2006\ that you rename this to something like Enterprise Launcher - this is so you may use both versions 2.0 and 3.0 back and forth.

Converting
Ok now you have unzipped all Betas into the DRS 2006 folder. The FIRST thing you must do is use the 'DRSConvert'. From the DRS 2006 folder open the converter and run the first of the two Convert 2.x > 3.0. For PRO users you may have to exit after the first convert, then just open again and perform the second Convert 2.x > 3.0. The window to the right will display two OK notices. Now continue down the list of “create new…” till all say OK (Standard users will find not all buttons will say OK, this is normal). If you are using an older 3.0 database you may have to run the Update Index, but in most cases this is unlikely. Please read carefully the instructions to the right of the converter regarding 3.0 > to 2.x conversions. Now exit.

Registration Key
Now create a shorcut to the renamed Enterprise Launcher and copy this to your desktop for the moment...(You may move this to any location of your choice later) open it and enter the registration key you were given via the 'Enter Registration Key' dialog. It is important that you enter this information exactly as it was received; a simple cut and paste will suffice. When completed, all green lights on the Launcher relevant to your package should be lit. The top left hand window will display your name or the name of your company.

Administration Kit
Now go to the 'Administration Kit' from the Launcher and check the Database Connection. It should read 'Passed - Database Connected'. Now input your name and password (User name and User password) then check ALL boxes relating to the modules in the Access Rights. Save this user. Here you may set the Audio Plugin Setup, Encoders and Static Relays Setup (check the boxes for the module you wish to utilize these features), Colors setup and Other Audio setups (i.e. Winamp and Cool Edit). Save and exit.

Logon
Network users should extract and run the Netup.exe file only, and only on the pc containing the database. For single PC users, please extract and run the Entup.exe only.

Have fun and feel the power of pure radio automation!
