2006 Time Sync The purpose of the DRS 2006 TimeSync is to update your system clock with an interval you have set. The Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) is used to synchronize the time of a computer client or server to another server or reference time source, such as a radio or satellite receiver or modem. It provides accuracies typically within a millisecond on LANs and up to a few tens of milliseconds on WANs relative to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). To syncronize we use NIST (National Institute of Standard and Technology) time servers. This utility uses almost no resources and can be placed in the Windows startup folder without any problem.
